Garnering a silver Telly in “Social Video – Sports” and a bronze Telly in “People’s Telly – Social Video” is Flame Bearers’ “Pass it on,” stories from the 1985 United States Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT), the first women’s national team to play international matches. These episodes were co-hosted by FIFA Female Player of the Century Michelle Akers, who scored the first official USWNT goal.
The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens. Entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council, an industry body of more than 200 leading experts, including advertising agencies, production companies and major television networks, reflective of the multiscreen industry The Telly Awards celebrates.
With these recent wins, Flame Bearers has now been honored with more than 15 internationally acclaimed awards in video, podcasting, and social media, including being a Webby Awards finalist and achieving multiple recognitions for its role in public service and activism, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion.
