Major Milestones In Women’s Sports

There have been hundreds of moments that have been pivotal turning points for women athletes globally. Nobody will be able to ever know them all because many of these moments happened untelevised and unrecorded. That said, we do know of an increasing number. Here are just a few remarkable milestones that have shaped the landscape of women’s sports.

Wilma Rudolph’s Gold Medal Olympic Domination (1960)

Wilma Rudolph’s journey from adversity to Olympic glory is nothing short of extraordinary.
